What is a push bar?
- It is a bar across an exit door. Pushing it anywhere opens the door from inside. From outside, the door stays locked unless you add a key or handle.

Does my exit door need one?
- Many fire exits and busy exit doors do. The rules depend on your building, so check with building management or your safety consultant. We fit the device they ask for.

Can staff still open it from outside?
- Yes, if you want. We add a key cylinder, lever or card reader outside. Without one, the door is exit-only.

Our push bar sticks. Can you fix it?
- Usually, yes. Sticking bars often need cleaning, oiling or lining up. If parts are broken, we replace them or the whole bar.

The exit door won't lock when it closes.
- The latch or strike is out of line, or the door doesn't close fully. We line them up and can fit a door closer to pull it shut.

How long does it take?
- A single rim bar usually takes one to two hours. Double doors with rods take longer.
